What is PPR Piping system?
PPR stands for Polypropylene Random Copolymer. It is a type of plastic piping system widely used for hot and cold water supply. It's known for its durability, ease of installation, and corrosion resistance.
PPR is a modern, cost-effective, and reliable piping solution that has largely replaced galvanized steel and copper in many residential and commercial water systems, especially in Europe, Asia, and increasingly in other regions. Its fusion-welded joints eliminate leak risks, making it a preferred choice for concealed plumbing.
The Category of our PPR Piping system
POLYGON offers a diverse range of PPR pipes and fittings:
- PPR Pipe: Standard pipes available in series SDR11/S5, SDR9/S4, SDR7.4/S3.2, and SDR6/S2.5.
- PPR Two Layer Pipe
- PPR Three Layer Pipe
- PPR Fiber Pipe: Middle fiber layer for lower linear expansion and high impact resistance.
- PP-RCT Pipe: Higher mechanical resistance and thinner walls for increased flow rate.
- PP-R Stable Composite Pipe (PPR Aluminum Pipe): Aluminum layer for higher pressure resistance.
- PPR Copper Pipe: Integrated with TP2 phosphorous deoxidized copper for anti-bacterial function.
- PPR Fittings: Couplings, elbows, tees, valves, etc.

FAQ
Q1: What is the maximum temperature and pressure for PPR pipes?
-
A: For the household hot water system, it is sufficient to select hot water pipes with a wall thickness meeting the standards (such as the S3.2/S2.5 series), a nominal pressure of PN20 or above, and ensure that the working temperature does not exceed 70℃. This will meet the requirements for long-term safe use. The PPR pipes have specific temperature and pressure standards, which vary depending on their type and intended use.
Q2: How to ensure proper installation?
-
A: To ensure the installation quality of PPR pipes, the key lies in mastering the four core aspects: proper preparation before construction, standard hot-melt connection, correct support and laying, and strict water pressure testing. All the above-mentioned steps are subject to our standard regulations.
Q3: What makes PPRCT pipe better than standard PPR?
-
A: PPRCT has special molecular structure ensuring higher mechanical resistance. When wall thickness is same, it performs better under high temperature and pressure.
